Ellen DeGeneres Bids Farewell to Stand-Up

Ellen DeGeneres, the cherished comedian who has delighted audiences for years, has recently announced the end of her stand-up tour, “Ellen’s Last Stand…Up.” While performing in Santa Rosa, California, Ellen revealed to the crowd that this would be her final tour.

During the show, a fan inquired if Ellen would continue performing on other stages, such as Broadway or in movies, after the tour. Ellen responded candidly, saying, “Um, no. This is the last time you’re going to see me. After my Netflix special,” set to air at the end of 2024, “I’m done.”

It was announced that several of Ellen’s upcoming shows, including those in Dallas, San Francisco, Seattle, and Chicago, have been cancelled. Although Ellen has not issued a statement about the cancellations, she expressed her gratitude to her fans for their continued support, saying,

The 66-year-old humorously added, “Oh yeah, and I got kicked out of show business for being mean,” alluding to recent controversies. She then joked about eventually being “kicked out for being old.” However, Ellen firmly rejected the label of being mean, stating, “I am many things, but I am not mean.”

Reflecting on her past popularity, Ellen admitted,

“I USED TO SAY, ‘I DON’T CARE WHAT PEOPLE SAY ABOUT ME.’ NOW, I REALIZE I SAID THAT DURING THE HEIGHT OF MY POPULARITY.”

Despite the challenges she has faced, Ellen remains thankful for her loyal fans.
